Day VIII: International Conclave of Golden Dawn Adepti

The Outer Order Arrives &
Double Rainbow in the Mojave Desert

Here in the Mojave desert, rain is a precious commodity. Today, as outer order initiates were finally allowed to join with the Adepti here at the International Conclave, we had more precipitation that we have had all year. This is, of course, a very auspicious sign. If you have never experienced it, the fragrance of the desert following a rain storm is a wonderful smell not soon forgotten.

Yesterday, we enjoyed our final day with only Golden Dawn Adepti from around the world, spending the entire day working new magic from the Secret Chiefs together inside the Vault of the Adepti. For those unfamiliar with the Vault, it is a marvelous magical chamber unlike anything else in the world. A key feature of the new magick for the Inner Order from the Secret Chiefs is new magick for inside of the Vault.

Today, it was a bit of a shock for all of us when the H.O.G.D. outer order initiates began to arrive. Our international gathering of Adepti from England, Ireland, France, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Italy and the USA had developed into a warm and intimate group. We stepped up to the plate today though, to help our younger brothers and sisters in the Golden Dawn, helping them to perfect their skills in Ritual Magick in an afternoon seminar.

The outer order Initiates certainly deserved this, as some of them flew from as far away as New York just to be here with the Adepti for the Equinox ceremony and the official opening tomorrow of the Isis-Hathor mother temple of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega. With the arrival of the outer order, we were standing room only at dinner again tonight.

I am glad to see such a warm response from rank and file Golden Dawn members who, fed up with conflict in our G.D. community, have come to celebrate the Equinox together with their brothers and sisters from the Alpha et Omega.

May this be the dawning of a new period of unparalleled fraternal harmony in our community.

  1. Wish I could of been there! Sounds like everything kicked off perfectly and is ending perfectly. I must say it is rather hard to believe there isn't a "new dawn rising" so to speak. One's soul seems to be drawn into a new beginning with a bright, golden future :)

What a weekend—Wow! While I cannot thank you enough, I humbly offer many thanks to you, Leslie, and all the Adepti for providing an exceptionally vibrant and inspirational weekend of magic and fraternal harmony. Your impromptu invitation for me to stay the weekend, play, and commune with all the brethren, was amazingly refreshing, and demonstrated outstanding hospitality, trust, unity, and love. Being in the presence of so many fire signs was “hot”, and astoundingly energetic in all aspects of pre-, peri-, and post-ritual experiences. We all took turns at the athanor for stoking the alchemical fire ever so present between all the members; from one-to-one tutoring, to group work and play on theory and practice, the camaraderie of Adepti exceeded my expectations for covering so many aspects of alchemy, theurgy, and ritual work.
