Hi, I'm Christopher Bradford. In different orders and temples across the whole Golden Dawn community, there are brothers and sisters that know me as "AIT." Here in the blogosphere, readers know me mostly through my on-line magical journal, Heavens Within Earth.
I originally intended to write a short post politely refuting claims made by "Ken Figuly" in recent aggressive posts on Robert Zink's blogs, but I have to admit to difficulty making sense of his posts' content. The more time I wasted reading "Figuly's" posts, the less polite I felt this response could be.
I’ll still keep it short. In his post first post on the Golden Dawn blog, Kenny Figuly writes:

(Could it be that some of the leaders were looking at this as a chance to advance their own position and thus cause desertion within the membership to the point of convincing people that somehow true honor came through breaking ones oath?)
Shame on the Esoteric Order of the Golden Dawn for taking sides in this matter and shame on John D. Griffin for perpetuating the rift."
In his second post , Figuly next writes:
“He [Robert Zink] admitted that he was not as attentive as he should have been at, “creating a welcoming atmosphere for the neophyte on his or her journey through the system of The Golden Dawn.” He realizes now, more than ever, “the Neophyte should be received and cultivated so that the development potential is extraordinary."
Kenny Figuly's first message tries to blame everyone in the Golden Dawn community but Robert Zink himself for Zink's gross misdemeanors that led to more or less the entire Esoteric Order of the Golden Dawn booting Zink out and/or voting with their feet.
The second post appears a half-hearted attempt at apology by Mr. Zink, who I will not refer to as Frater, for no Frater of mine would treat people in the fashion that Zink has: Robbing people blind, allegedly sexually assaulting them (yes, giving someone your personal “fluid condenser” is a sexual assault), using your Order as part of your New Age marketing sales scheme…that’s a far sight worse than not “creating a welcoming atmosphere” as Mr. Figuly claims. The gall of “Ken Figuly”, to write this nonsense in support of Zink is truly astonishing.
Mr. Figuly's defense and support of Zink—a man with a proven track record of grossly abusing his Initiates - is bewildering to say the least. How can. Figuly even do so in good conscience? As far as I am concerned, Figuly looks like just another one of Robert Zink's sock puppets. Having read his posts, I can’t help but feel doubtful that Mr. Figuly is even a real person separate from Robert Zink.
The rest of Figuly's posts are just more marketing non-speak, with even nonsense about making the “light graceless and infertile”. What does that even mean? How does one man make the “Light” anything other than what it is?
And how does conversation make it infertile, when committing various crimes against one’s own students does not?
Foolishness.
And let's not forget Robert Zink's expulsion letter, signed by almost the entire EOGD Second Order Adepti, cited as a primary reason for dumping Zink as a leader:

After everything that has happenned, it is outrageous that Zink is still up to his old tricks. Under the circumstances, Robert Zink using Ken Figuly to still continue to attack GH Fra LES (David Griffin) and all of the former members who left the EOGD - for speaking out against Zink's crimes - is plain silly.
In my book, Mr. Griffin and they should all receive a medals for it, all things considered!

I googled Ken Figuly, trying to figure out why I should care about his opinion. The results made me wonder if the big claim Zink made of Figuly being a professional writer in the music industry is even remotely true. Yes, there is a Ken Figuly, but his internet footprint is hardly that of someone producing professional level material as a writer.

How would you feel if your 15 year old daughter was knocked up by Robert Zink, had to quit high school, and was later dumped penniless without even child support from Robert Zink. This is what happenned to Rafaela Pulera.
How would you feel if your Grandmother was defrauded our of her life savings by Robert Zink? This is what happenned to Rita Pulera and others.
How would you feel if you gave credit card number to join the Golden Dawn then found out later that Robert Zink put a bunch of fraudulent charges for other things on it.
This happened to so many people that EOGD Adepts finally had enough and tried to expel Robert Zink. When that didn't work they voted with their feet.
How would you feel if you could not buy a house because of bad credit card debts that you didn't even rack up? This is not what you call sloppy business practices? This is FRAUD. This is a CRIME

Robert Zink is not a bad leader or a sloppy businessman.
Robert Zink is a CRIMINAL and belongs behind bars.
Credit card fraud is not a sloppy business practice. Credit card fraud is a CRIME.
Statutory rape and impregnating someone's underage daughter is not a moral question. It is a CRIME.
David Griffin is not obsessed with Robert Zink like you say in your letter. He is a Golden Dawn leader who is concerned about the reputation of the tradition. The Adepts who dumped Zink are not out after personal power like you suggest. They are legitimately concerned about not letting Zink hurt anyone else. Heck, even the few who stayed behind are concerned about protecting others from Zink. You are the only one defending him like this and by doing so you make yourself as guilty as Zink.
Robert Zink, on the other hand is a CRIMINAL who belongs behind bars.
And hopefully Robert Zink's CRIMES will not destroy the reputation of the whole Golden Dawn tradition like he has destroyed that of the EOGD already.

Stop giving imbeciles the time of day by critiquing their misgivings. You're feeding into exactly what they want you to feed into.
ReplyDeleteFiguly needs to critically look at the facts and grow up; and we need to move. Do you really think Figuly is going to revive Zink's credibility when more than half of the EOGD adept community has moved on?
Stop inertia! Many of us have already did our 1=10 work in Earth and demonstrating our reflexivity in Malkuth is well noted by now.

ReplyDeleteBy not collectively pursuing legal action, those affected are not helping to prevent it from happening again and are potentially allowing him to continue; but resolving this problem via a blog-sphere will only yield droll debate and mental energy better spent elsewhere.

ReplyDeleteI certainly can sympathize with your argument. In the absence of such courageous action by his victims, however, I nonetheless feel obligated to at least do my part to prevent the public from being being hoodwinked by Mr. Zink.
Moreover, one must also give credit where credit is due. Thus we must at least grant Robert Zink that he is a MASTER in the art of deception. Otherwise, how would he have survived his order deserting him in both 2002, when he impregnated that little girl, and again now again in 2011, when his credit card fraud has come to light.

Infact, I speculate that in hindsight, defending the golden dawn-non-stop against these obvious devieants, is bringing all of our reputations down. I suggested ignoring this type on fanatical BS, and stand on the proud hilltop called Theurgy, and even Inner Alchemy......... who cares what these idiots say? We want Magick, not tabloid.

Neo, I have been dealing with RZ's one man flame war for nearly 2 decades now. I have learned from experience that ignoring him merely encourages him. Exposing his game, however, eventually gives us some peace and quiet for a while. For example, the Anonymous Bob blog has been silent for over a month since Bob Zink was unmasked using yet another sock puppet.
I found enourgh during my brief Google search to indicate that he is (probably) a real person, somehow involved with music...but no indication that he was nearly the professional that Zink made him out ot be.

As a member he was an emotional-pet to at least half the members, while beind the scenes, he was telling the staff he was some sort of famous sports-or-entertainment writer. IMO; no way, the capability was not there. ... He would have issues similar to those described above, and finally Tom made the heartfelt decision to ban him. Everyone was pissed at Tom for awhile. As time went on, we figured him a Troll. I left the forums about that time,over-that forum BS.
ReplyDeleteFrater LES, i fully support you and Tomas. My recent opinions have been a simple reflection of some aspects of the GD community as of late. Some are afraid to join either order, they cannot see the difference. I know this sound lundichris, but consider, most Americans will walk past sensible foods to eat shiny-packaged-garbage. The bigger the commercial, and the shinyer the packaging, the more they want it. Ohhhhhhhh, Astral initiation, that sounds awesome......Ohhhhhhh Temple initiation that sounds better.....Americans dont care about the ingredients, only the horsepower & bling.
With all that in mind, we do respect your Martian/Solar stance.
One thought, would be to delegate someone of a develepmental-level that is a little closer to the Kenny Figuleys, and Side-Show-Bobs of cyberworld to carry out a more balanced war.....

You know what? This is a hallmark of Robert Zink, Grand Nagus, Fraudster, Inepti, whatever you want to call him, it's still the same for all eternity. Bad writing is just bad writing. Poor Kenny doesn't seem to know what sooo many of Sideshow Bob's outer order found out during 2002: Post the same old crap about how great you and the EOGD (then HOMSI) are and you get the same results that we are reading here nearly ten years later. Cockroaches have remained unchanged on the evolutionary scale for millinea by simply being disgusting and always popping up in a new corner when you think you got rid of them. The "Cockroach totem" is a perfect one for Zink, you will never get rid of him until he is either dead or in jail for a long time. Just look at the leaders of "Eckankar" and "Scientology". Problem is, Zink isn't even as good at scamming and mind control as they were, and certainly a LOT worse with finances. Cockroaches somehow managed to survive, irritate you and spoil your food in their powerlessness. Sounds a lot like "Cockroach Bob" and his relationship with the GD community. Not to worry, Kenny will leave Bobby in time; same as all the people who participated in "Operation Faery Wicca" under thier own names did back in 2002. As to Cockroach Bob, anyone got any boric acid??? (You can find it in the hardware store under names like "Roach Prufe" etc.)

ReplyDeleteYes, Bob Zink is nothing if not persistent. He has lost his entire order twice now over his crimes. He could care less though, as long as he still has the shiny website and even only Ed Reib and Ramsey to astrally initiate a new crop of suckers.
To Bob all that matters is the money he can fleece new members for, relying on a revolving door, with new, innocent saps coming along all the time. The only way this will ever stop is when someone he defrauds actually presses charges.
You guys want to know about Ken Figuley? He is a real person...whose identity has been swiped by the Bob. How do I know this? Because I was kicked out of the Order by him for calling him out on the exact same thing. He was finding people on the internet who looked like respectable, intelligent, citizens with some credentials and using their identities to make fake blogs, fake posts, and fake replies in order to further his causes and also to defame others.
ReplyDeletePersonally I think this is a grave sin. Imagine being a respectable person, with a career and knowing nothing of the Golden Dawn. Imagine if someone searched the internet for your name...for example, this happens quite a bit these days by people who are interviewing you for a job. Imagine if they found your name alongside the topics of magic and god-forms and talismans etc.. and just happened to have a particular prejudice toward it (which is more than likely) This could cause not only great harm to their career, but to their personal life as well.
Is this not one reason why we take oaths of secrecy and promise to maintain the secret identies of our brothers and sisters? Some people don't mind their name being out there, but that is not true for most.
None-the-less here you will find Robert, with little disregard for another's life using them for his own purposes, looking for someone who is real but essentially untraceable as Morgan found when doing a little research. He does these types of things when threats to his Adepti to "go to war" fall on deaf ears and he is left to his own devices. Or most likely in this case, because he has no one to "go to war" for him.

First off: I want to apologize for seeming naive. My intent was never to attack anyone. I am stricken by the things I've learned on this blog. Second: I was never kicked off of Tom's blog. I left because of personal reasons having nothing to do with Tom nor his web site Realms Of Magick. I respect Tom and ROM to this very day. I thought we were friends. Last: Perhaps I have been a bit of a sock puppet but I believed I was putting an end to the constant battle not trying to create more of it. Please accept my apologies to anyone I have inadvertently offended. I obviously have some homework to do. My actions were disrespectful. Robert Zink is a dear friend of mine. I'll leave it at that... Under the circumstances, publishing here as anonymous is not a good idea, since you remain a suspected sock puppet of Robert Zink. This is nothing personal, because Mr. Zink has been documented as having done this sort of thing many times before.
You ought perhaps to be more careful about the friends you keep, since as the old saying goes:

If bob pulled a random name out of a hat to try to make himself look good, he pulled a karmically hilarious one. From what I can see by what forums he was posting on and when, he got a little too close to zink and got burned, leading to his public wm post above.
